American Engineering Laboratories maintains a fully equipped soil and material testing facility. Our laboratory facilities are SBE, CALTRANS, AASHTO, ICBO/ICC, CCRL, DSA, OSHPD and Los Angeles City approved. All physical testing of soils and aggregates is performed in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, CCRL, or CALTRANS specifications. Skilled technicians utilizing state-of-the-art equipment assure that high standards are maintained. American Engineering Laboratories maintains a quality assurance program that provides for regular review, update of staff skill and training, a schedule of routine maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment. A computer system facilitates precise computation and presentation of laboratory data. Our field technicians not only use the nuclear density gauge to verify compaction, but monitor for conformance temperature, thickness, and surface smoothness of the A/C mat.
